Service

Tabicons checks the favicon, apple-touch-icon and other site icons served by a given URL. It is a diagnostic tool — it reports what is served right now for one URL. Results are generated in real time and are not stored.

Acceptable use

You may use Tabicons to check any URL you have permission to access. Automated or bulk use is not permitted without prior written agreement. You may not use the service to probe, scan, or test URLs you do not own or operate.

Billing

Tabicons is free to use. No payment is required to use the core diagnostic tool. There are no paid plans, subscriptions, or metered billing active today.

A paid Pro tier has been proposed (see pricing page) but is not yet approved or implemented. It requires human approval, architecture upgrades, and a connected payment processor before it can launch. No money can be paid for any Tabicons plan today.

If and when paid features are introduced, existing users will be notified. Any future billing will be processed through a third-party payment processor (Stripe or equivalent). The then-current pricing will be published on the pricing page and this page at the time of launch.

What happens on a failed payment (future paid plans)

When a subscription charge fails, the account will be notified by email and given a grace period of 7 days. If the payment is not resolved within the grace period, access to paid features will be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid. After 30 days of non-payment, the account will be downgraded to the free tier.

Refund policy (future paid plans)

If paid features are introduced, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Annual subscription fees, if any, will be pro-rated for unused months upon cancellation within 14 days of payment.

Disclaimer

The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Icon availability is determined by the target server's response at the time of the check. A "present" result does not guarantee that a particular client or browser will use or display that icon.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
